Description

Looking for a dessert that’s quick, delicious, and practically effortless? This Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake has all the creamy goodness of cheesecake with the bright sweetness of strawberries, all in a super easy-to-make cake. Perfect for when you want dessert without the fuss!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Cake:

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) vanilla cake mix
  • 1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  • Make the cheesecake filling:
In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
  • Layer the ingredients:
Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly on the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Spoon dollops of the cheesecake mixture on top of the pie filling—don’t worry about spreading it evenly, it’ll melt into the cake as it bakes.
  • Add the cake mix:
Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the cheesecake and strawberry layers. Do not mix—just spread it out.
  • Pour the butter:
Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix. The butter will help form the crumbly top layer as it bakes.
  • Bake the cake:
Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cake is set. You can check with a toothpick—it should come out clean.
  • Cool and serve:
Let the cake cool for a few minutes before serving. It’s great served warm or at room temperature. Top with fresh whipped cream or extra strawberries if desired.

Notes

  • Cake Mix Variations: Try using other fruit pie fillings, like blueberry or peach, for different flavor variations!
  • Add More Texture: For extra crunch, sprinkle chopped nuts (like pecans or walnuts) on top of the cake mix before baking.
  • Chill for a Cheesecake Vibe: Refrigerating the cake after baking for an hour will give it a more cheesecake-like texture.
